When the man standing in front of her told her that he thought she had moved away, she realized that they must have lost touch before her accident because he thought she had only moved away. From what her father had explained to her, she was believed to be dead. So why had he not thought that? She wouldn't ask though, because she wasn't sure she wanted to know.

He asked if she wanted to go somewhere and chat, and she knew better than to pass up the opportunity. This man might have some information for her that others wouldn't, which would help her learn more about her past life. As they rode the lift to his floor, he told her about the Sorting Hat and the four different houses of Hogwarts.

"But how could it know all that?" she asked curiously. "I mean, I was only eleven at the time. How would it know I was any of those things? And moreover, how would it know if I would remain as such?" she asked. It didn't make much sense to her, but who was she to argue with over a thousand years of doing things?

They arrived to the break room of his office, and he asked if she wanted coffee or tea. "Tea, please, thank you," she told him as she sat down in one of the chairs. "So what else can you tell me about me? I mean, how well did we know one another? Were we close?" she asked. Just because he knew her didn't mean he knew her. Still, she'd take any information she could get.

It was always unsettling for Eliza to ask anyone who claimed to know her before her accident about herself. She hated that she didn't know more than what she learned from others. So far, not a single memory had returned to her, and she was at the point where she was wanted to go to St. Mungo's and ask one of the Healers if they could help her.

As they sat in the break room of his office, they spoke of Hogwarts, and she expressed her uncertainty about the sorting Hat and its ability to decide a person's personality at such a young age. He seemed to parrot her thoughts but chalked it up to thousands of years of magical wisdom. He had a point there, but she didn't understand. Maybe, once she started to remember things for herself, it would make more sense.

She asked him how they knew one another, even asking if they had been close before, and she felt a sense of relief wash over her when he admitted that they had been good friends. This meant that he could offer her some insight into her former life, and she was more than thankful for that. She smiled at first, but it began to slip from her face when he added that they had lost touch after school ended.

He then asked what else she wanted to know, even adding that he wanted to hear about her life since Hogwarts, including how she ended up in the States, and she frowned. "Well, that's a rather complicated story, but I can certainly tell you if you want to know," she told him before taking a sip of her tea. "It all stems from my accident," she said with a sigh, setting her mug down on the table.

"I was in an accident with my parents. My mum died that night, and my father was seriously injured. They said I died too, but it was much worse than that. With my amnesia, a man named Charlie came claiming to be my father and took me home. He wasn't my father, but I didn't know any different, so I believed him," she said with a frown, her mind wandering back to Charles and what happened in the States.

"He said we lived in the States, but that I had been living in London for a short while before the accident. So I went to the states with him, thinking that was where I belonged, and started to work at MACUSA, as the personal assistant to the President. That's when, eventually, the truth came out," she said, remembering that day as if it were yesterday. "My real father moved to the States after losing his wife and daughter, me, and began dating the President. One day, we met, and he freaked out, claiming that I was the daughter he thought he lost," she told him.

At first, Eliza hadn't believed him, thinking that he was crazy and just thinking she was someone else, but he knew far too much to ignore. "As it turned out, Charlie used to know my parents. He had been my mother's boyfriend when she met my father. He felt slighted by the fact that my father stole her from him, and, subsequently, the life he felt was his. So, when he learned of my accident and that I hadn’t died, he decided to steal me from my father," she said with a frown.

"Needless to say, I'm back in London, trying to piece together the life I do not remember. I'm working at Gringotts right now, as an accounts manager, which is why I was here in the first place. I was picking up the information needed so that you all can get paid," she said with a smile, hoping to bring some lightness to the heaviness she'd settled over them with her story.

It had been hard to tell Camden everything she had. Anyone might think she was crazy for telling him all of that after having only met him minutes earlier, but she had a good feeling about him. She couldn't put her finger on it, but she was sure she could trust him, as if she had known him for a long time. And with him telling her that they had been friends back in school, she was certain of her decision to tell him.

She offered a small smile when Cam offered his condolences for what she had gone through, even though she knew there was no way he could have known what happened to her. She shook her head when he asked of Charles was rotting in prison. "But, don’t be upset about that. He will never bother me or my father again. He won’t even remember who we are," she said with a soft smile. Her father took care of his memories so that Charlie would never know them.

Cam then offered his assistance should she ever need it. He then handed her a piece of paper with a number on it, indicating that it was his should she ever want to chat or ask any questions about her past. She offered him a smile and nodded her head as she pulled out her own mobile and opened up her contacts section. She typed in his name and number and then clicked the button to send him a quick text. "Careful what you ask for. You might get sick of hearing from me," she said with a smirk after she typed 'hi' in the text box and sent it to him. "Now, you have my number too," she said as she nodded to him.

He then asked if she liked her job at Gringotts and she nodded with a smile. "Very much, actually," she said. "I don’t get to go on any fun adventures like the curse breakers do, but I'm the one that gets to send them away, so it's always nice to see their photos when they return," she said. If they showed her any, that is. Some, like LORENZO DELAROSA, wouldn’t show her anything; not that she'd ask him anyway. "How about you? Do you like your job here?" she asked him.

Elizabeth smiled when Camden told her that he would never get tired of hearing from her, and that he had missed her while she was away. Her cheeks warmed slightly as he saved her contact information in his phone, but she quickly pushed that away. Now was not the time for her to get flustered or distracted by this man.

They moved their conversation onto work and she was thankful for the neutral topic. It was something they could both talk about without other thoughts getting in their way. She told him about her job and how she didn't get to go on the adventures the cursebreakers did, but then laughed when he told her that she'd had enough of an adventure in her lifetime. "I guess you could say that," she agreed.

When she asked him about his job, however, she noticed the change in demeanor and she couldn't but feel a swell of pride for him and how much he seemed to care about his job. "It's nice to know you're so passionate about it. It's always best to love your job. Sadly, there are many that don't," he said with a slight frown.

And then, as if it had been something stewing in his mind for a bit, he told her that he wanted to show her something, but only if she promised not to laugh at him. She arched an eyebrow at him but then brought her hand to her heart and told him "I'd never laugh at you,". He told her that it was useful when he was on missions and even told her that some of his friends knew. "Well, now that you got me all interested, of course I want to see," she told him.
