Arthur's Place has existed in Hogsmede since 1988. The shop was opened by Arthur Vercrux, a psychiatrist that enjoyed sharing the gift of knowledge. In its humble beginnings the building was smaller with books everywhere without clear organization. The shop has since come into the hands of Thorne Bagwell, a writer under the pseudonym T. McQueen who spent a good portion of his life being raised by Arthur Vercrux. In 2028 the shop was remodeled by Mr.Bagwell. The two shops beside it were purchased and the shop was expanded. The shop now displays a very polished wooden look. As one enters they will see in front of them a stair case leading up to the top level where Mr.Bagwell lives. Behind the stairs is the check out counter. To the right of the checkout counter is the children's section where there is a small bridge arching upwards over what appears to be a stream of water but it is only a crystal like design that glimmers. To the left of the check out counter is the author's spotlight section where new works can be found. In the front, on the left, is a room full of shelves of books and also seating for those that desire to take a glimpse at what they are thinking of buying. To the right, upon entering, there is a room that is a study room where students can study if they desire to. Don't have your books? That is fine. There are books available for you in the room but no stealing students.
