Five years ago, a huge explosion of necromantic energy known as the Withering forced thousands to flee their homes as it unleashed plagues and monstrosities. Kingdoms were shattered and their rulers sent scrambling as the blast consumed everything in front of it.

Now, five disparate cultures take shelter in Alabaster, a port city founded and run by pirates. Tensions mount as unfamiliar peoples are forced into close quarters, exacerbated by the constant threat of monstrosities that emerge in a constant stream from the dangerous Withered Lands.
