LIFTING THE VEIL
MUGGLES GET MAGICAL EXPOSÉ
Muggles will find them treated to what is truly the largest magical show on earth. In the aftermath of a Ministry Task Force taking down the anti-integration hate group, Perniciem, the International Confederation of Wizards have decided that it again time to renew efforts to bring both the magical and Muggle communities together. It was voted unanimously to do so by beginning a new tradition, one that is in the same spirit of the Muggles' Olympic Games. When pressed for details about the event, we were assured there's nothing else like it on earth.
The Concordia Festival is set to begin on July 27th and run until August 17th. The Opening ceremony will begin with a parade of the wizarding world's most notable celebrities, into London Stadium. Over the course of the event, magic folk and muggles alike can expect an expo of some of this summer's most anticipated events. The playoffs of the Quidditch Finals will occur during the event, and so shall a magical dueling tournament where many of Britain's most notable duellists will compete for the inaugural championship. This year's flying broom expo will also be part of the event, and some of the most notable magizoologists will sponsor a zoo of magical creatures for all families to enjoy. @athena , of the Ministry's Beast Division stated that only creatures of Class 3 and below will be included in the event, but it will still be a collection that can't be missed.
@vienna , a lawyer in the International Magical Cooperation office, confessed to being very busy with other nations in preparation for the heavy influx of other nationals for the event. Of course, witches and wizards won't be the only ones in attendance, there are estimates of over two million fans venturing to the London for the event.
Security is a concern, but collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Magic's Department of Law Enforcement and London's Metropolitan police have worked closely together to ensure that the safety of the public is met with the upmost security measures, yet doesn't suffocate the spirit of the actual event.
There's one event that is all the buzz, and it's likely not what you think. ZIPORAH LAURENT , of Premiere Events, will be planning the largest event of her life, as she was tapped by sponsor Chaucer Media to plan the largest mass wedding in years. Early estimates suggest that over 300 couples (magical, Muggle and mixed) have registered to participate in the event. As a result, many restaurants such as Benzel's and Reid Marlowe's have been swamped with reservations.
It seems that he Ministry of Magic is sparing little to no expense in order to roll out the red carpet for our Muggle neighbors. Of course, that doesn't seem to bother most people as polls suggest that the Ministry is presently seeing the highest approval ratings in years. Many would say that magic's Silver Age seems to have arrived, and the public is more than ready to embrace it.
