Bottomless Pits [DORIAN]

Teddy was on all fours, trying to reach an escaped M&M under the couch when the doorbell rang. “I told you to just apparate in here, you dork!” she shouted, loud enough for her cousin (and probably a couple of neighbors) to hear. She was not going to pause this highly important task just to open the door for Dorian.

On the coffee table sat two pizza boxes kept hot by a heating spell, a six pack of beer, and a mostly empty bag of M&M’s. She had expected her cousin forty-five minutes ago, and when it became clear that he was running late (not that she would have cared had she not been hungry) she figured she could tide herself over with a couple of M&M’s. But ‘a couple’ turned into 'most of the bag', and she couldn’t just stop at ‘most’; Teddy was not a quitter. She might as well finish the whole thing, which meant she had to get the one M&M that had escaped her grasp and was hiding under the couch like a secret lover.

“Gotcha!” she announced proudly, coming up with the M&M held securely between her thumb and forefinger. She popped it into her mouth and grabbed the bag on the coffee table, devouring the remaining chocolates.

And now pizza!

“Dorkian, stop waiting outside like a freaking Jehova’s Witness and just apparate in here. I got you beer and your favorite pizza!”
