Character Name: OWEN LARSON
Desired Ability: seer & quarter-veela
How did your character acquire this ability?: So, it goes like this: (I will give a paragraph on each ability then one to combine them)
Veela: Dorothy "Dotty" Bertrand was a beautiful woman. How could she not be when she was a half veela? Her family is French in origin, but they had moved to the English countryside a few generations back, though they kept their French name and heritage close to them. They became selective with their breeding so that they did not produce a mass number of veela children.
Seer: Jacob "Jake" Larson comes from a family of seers. Most are not known to be though, since they keep it to themselves. Why would they want to let people know that they ca see the future, or at least glimpses of the future? Then everyone would want to get in on that. Basically, for the same reason why magic was kept a secret from the Muggles for as long as it was.
Owen: So, basically, Dotty and Jake met when they were both at Hogwarts together. They were in the same year. She was the quiet Ravenclaw and he was the fierce Hufflepuff. They met in the library one day because he had taken the book she needed for a class and he wouldn’t give it up. Naturally, the harpy in her started to come out because he apparently knew all the right buttons to push and he was smitten from that day on. She wouldn’t give him the time of day though. She preferred to focus on her studies and not on boys. But he was determined to get a date. And, in their last year, he finally did.
They dated for a few years and then he asked her to move in with him. She agreed and their relationship continued to grow. The next obvious step was to get married and that is what happened two years after she moved in. Her parents were less than pleased because they didn't think Jake was good enough for her. She disagreed and her parents disowned her for her choice. She didn't care. His parents loved her to pieces and they were so glad their son found himself a nice girl.
So, that is where Owen gets his abilities from. In regards to his Seer abilities, he doesn’t get full on visions. He gets glimpses, usually when he sleeps, but sometimes will get one while he is awake. When meeting certain people, he will likely get a flash of something, but what he sees doesn't always come true. As for his Veela abilities, girls seem to look at him a little longer than what is considered acceptable. He likes the attention, and he is huge on the casual thing, but serious relationships tend to be harder for him because he never knows if a girl likes him for him or because his veela abilities make them like him.
