It felt like forever and a day since Sly had last been to Jack's. He lived just down the street, but he's been staying home more and more now, though with no real reason as to why. So, when he walked into Jack's that night, he wasn't surprised that the bartender, and owner, commented on his noticed absence. He merely chuckled and explained that he'd been busier with work lately and it was left at that.

He sat himself at the bar for a bit, listening to the music when Jack approached him and asked if he'd be willing to play for a bit. He sighed, not having expected to do so, but then agreed when his saw the pleading look on the older man's face. The man who had bene playing thanked him for the break and then Sly slid onto the piano bench like it was a second home.

He played for about an hour before he decided to stop. The man who had been playing before him thanked him for the break again and then resumed his post at the piano. As sly made his way towards the bar, he recognized a familiar face and smirked to himself. "You know, we really ought to stop meeting like this," he said as he stopped next to her at the bar and nodded to Jack to get him a drink. "And one for the lady too, if she'll join me," he said as he looked at the brunette to his left.
