Winter in Diagon Alley meant that everyone who was wandering about the Alley was bundled up and Angel was no exception. She was in a stylish coat and scarf, hands dug deep in her pockets. She looked about, wondering where to go next. She was standing off to the side and out of people’s ways. She was sure that if she wasn’t, someone would run in to her. The Alley wasn’t as cramped as it was during Back to School season, as she called it, but there was still some hustle and bustle in it. People weren’t working as often due to the winter months and holidays, and students hadn’t gone back to school just yet.
Still, a part of Angel wished that they would. She preferred the Alley when there was barely anyone around, but that was just because she didn’t really like crowds. It wasn’t necessarily because she didn’t like people, because she did, but she had a feeling that she had undiagnosed claustrophobia. Which was weird given that she could be in the stands watching her brother and his teammates play Quidditch, but she believed that that was because she was distracted by the game and by her brother playing than her focusing on being around people.
Or she was just being dramatic and a little pessimistic when she was among the throngs of people who could be in the Alley.
Yeah, probably the latter, but she digressed and focused on the hot cocoa stand across the way, already imagining the warmth seeping through the cup to her cold hands. She was about to move forward when she stopped quickly, applying the breaks to ensure she didn’t run over a small child. When she did so, she backed in to someone who had been trying to squeeze behind her. “Merlin!” She exclaimed before she turned to the person, an apologetic smile on her lips. “Sorry. Kids,” she tried to explain as the little munchkin ran off.
