Merciless Dragon Attack: Eye of London & Citizens Decimated

MERCILESS DRAGON ATTACK

EYE OF LONDON AND CITIZENS DECIMATED

Hundreds of people witnessed what some would call a spectacle on the shores of the River Thames. Yet, others would note it as an event far more sinister, a true tragedy. A dragon attack occurred right in the heart of London, shortly after noon this past weekend. Unimaginable havoc rained down on London which led to not only destruction and countless injuries, but even loss of life.

On any weekend afternoon, this area is flooded not only with citizens but hundreds of tourists lining up for a seat on the Eye of London, so that they can gaze out at the expanse of the city itself. Parents and their children, young and old all seek to marvel in the tranquil beauty that can be seen from the very apex of the giant wheel.

On this afternoon, what awaited them across the skyline was an ominous silhouette that grew and grew with each passing moment. Eventually, witnesses declared that it was a dragon, specifically a Hebridean Black, believed to be the same dragon that was stolen from the MacFusty Clan reserve earlier this week.

Fire would rain down upon the masses below. Frantic, hundreds of people fled and scattered in mass hysteria. In all the chaos that ensued, people stumbled and were even trampled as people fled for their lives. The dragon's flames caused nearly three city blocks to burn costing the city millions in damage. Yet, we can hardly put a price tag on the lives lost and the anguish suffered.



Unfortunately, the onslaught didn't cease there. It continued as the dragon turned it's attention on the Eye itself. It's giant claws wrapped around the steel bars and only the sound of screeching contorted metal drowned out the sounds of screams from the victims trapped inside. Ministry heroes arrived on scene to help restore order, but not before the Eye was ripped from its perch and the Eye itself was cast into the Thames, sealing the fate of 62 people who lost their lives drowning, before any Ministry and Metropolitan responders could reach them.

In the wake of the lives lost, most of the Magical Community turned its eyes on their chief protector, the Ministry's Head of Law Enforcement, @potter , for some semblance of safety. Potter could confirm that the dragon had been found and secured by Ministry officials, HADLEY DRAKE , @artemis , and @sunshine of the Ministry's Dragon Research and Restraint Office. He also reported to the press the number of lives saved as well as those lost. We received reassurances that the Ministry is putting forth its best efforts to find those responsible for this heinous attack.



Unfortunately, only time will tell just how credible those assurances were. When reached out to the Tribunal, their press secretary assured us that @vina , Brinely Jernigan and Loida Thurlow all echo the pledge of dedication that the Ministry has to see the party responsible for these actions will be brought to justice.



Shortly before press, the Daily Prophet received a manifesto identifying the group responsible for these acts as Perniciem. They have yet to declare any sort of demands but insist that decisions of those currently in power have brought these acts of terror upon our shores. The British Prime Minister and the Metropolitan Police Department have committed themselves to a unified effort of ending Perniciem's reign of terror.
